The OL-Series Fiber Microscope utilizes a white LED for oblique illumination. It produces good image of core condition and contaminants. Some customers prefer oblique lighting because it doesn't show "too much".
Technicians will see enough detail to clean connectors and even polish to low loss level, but not too much detail to waste time over polishing. For critical examination of polish quality, we strongly recommend the CL-Series microscope.
